You don't have to go very far to have a great time ...

  • Enjoy Topanga Canyon's natural beauty by hiking Topanga State Park. Amid the caves, cliffs and canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains, this park features nearly forty miles of trails and views of the Pacific Ocean, Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.  Walk up the private road 1/4 mile from the Topanga Canyon Inn and you are in the park.

  • Get on a horse for a trail ride.  Call our friends, Los Angeles Horseback Riding, at 818 591 2032.  Their Ranch was voted the most beautiful place to trail ride by Los Angeles Magazine.

  • Go to the beach: Topanga, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica...there's lots of sand out there.

  • The play's the thing at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum; one mile from our Inn.  Also there are concerts, special events and classes.

  • The Topanga Earth Day Festival is usually in the middle of April, and celebrates Mother Earth with musicians, performers, drum and musical workshops, speakers and other exciting events.

  • Visit the Getty Villa just down the road near where Topanga Canyon Blvd. ends at the beach.  This museum with gardens is modeled after a Roman villa and features Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities.  Call 310 440 7300 or make your reservation on line.  Admission is free.

  • Go rock climbing locally with William Leventhal, a highly experienced climber and instructor.  His phone is 818 970-7680 and his email is lunarlevy@aol.com.
