GENERAL INFO AND CANCELLATIONS

Please be aware that our Inn is comprised of two separate, former residences built on the side of a steep slope. There is a flight of stairs at the entrance to both the Casa Blanca and the Casa Rosa .  Inside each residence is a flight of stairs between floors.  Because of our limited number of bedrooms and the age of our buildings we are not subject to federal laws regarding handicap access and it would not be reasonably possible to meet those requirements.

Reservation Policy

Book at our website TopangaCanyonInn.com using our secure booking engine. It is the least expensive, easiest and fastest method. Warning: other Online Travel Websites add extra fees. If you have questions you may call us between 8 am and 8 pm Pacific Time.

Your room will be reserved only after we have your full name, billing address, mobile and home phone numbers, email address and valid credit card information. Your reservation is guaranteed by your payment which will be charged in full at the time of booking. Your reservation will be confirmed by email and if you booked through our website by text message.

In some circumstances we may temporarily hold a room for you while you solidify your plans.If you plan to use a Gift Certificate please call us directly to book your room. There is no limit to how many gift certificates you may use for one reservation.

PRIVACY  We do not share your contact information with a third party. Your information will only be used for contacting you about your reservation, any follow up and mailing forgotten items back to you.

CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT:  Check-in 3 pm – 8 pm, Check-out 11 am.

There is a $20 fee for early check-in from Noon to 3 pm.

There is a $20 fee for a late check-out from 11 am to 1 pm.

There is a $30 fee for a late check-in after 8 pm and you must call to arrange.

Please try to arrange your late check-ins and check-outs at the time of booking. 

CANCELLATION POLICY – IMPORTANT TO KNOW

We are not authorized to alter or cancel your booking acquired through Online Travel Agents such as Expedia, Hotels.com, etc. You must contact them yourselves. We can help you cancel or modify your reservation if you booked with us directly at TopangaCanyonInn.com or with us directly by phone. Special Reduced Non-Refundable Rates: If you chose a Non-Refundable Rate at booking, you will not receive a refund if you cancel your reservation. For All Other Reservations: Should you need to cancel all or part of your reservation we must receive notice no less than 7 days prior to your arrival date. All canceled nights are subject to a 10% processing fee for the amount of the canceled portion.

All cancellations received less than 7 days prior to your arrival date will be non-refundable unless we can rebook the room. You will be responsible for payment of any nights not resold. This policy pertains if you check-out before your reserved nights are used. If we are able to re-book your room we will refund you accordingly minus a 10% cancellation fee.

Holiday reservations are subject to a fourteen (14) day cancellation policy. Multiple room reservations ( four or more rooms) are subject to a six (6) months cancellation policy. If we are able to re-book all or some of your rooms we will refund you accordingly minus a 10% cancellation fee.

If you do not agree to our cancellation policy your online reservation will not process.

PET POLICY 

We do not allow pets inside the Inn. If you must travel with pets we recommend these three excellent boarding places in Topanga: CANYON ANIMAL CARE,  TOPANGA PET RESORT and  CANYON VIEW RANCH. Your pets can have their own vacation. Dogs are not allowed in Topanga State Park and many other parks and beaches in the Santa Monica Mountains. Park rangers patrol the trails and issue citations to violators. It is not safe to leave your small pets outside and unattended in Topanga due to the presence of coyotes, bobcats, rattlesnakes, hawks, owls and the occasional mountain lion.

SERVICE ANIMAL POLICY 

Although we are not subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title III, because of our limited size, we are very well versed in the law and keep a copy of the ADA at the Inn. Service animals are limited, by law, to dogs and miniature horses. We can accommodate service dogs, but not miniature horses. We strongly support the legitimate use of service dogs in designated rooms that will be most safe, convenient and comfortable for you and your dog. You must let us know at the time of your reservation about your service dog, to make sure a designated room is available. You and your animal will have the use of the common areas. Please, do not arrive with a service dog without prior notification to us.

It is against the law in California to try to represent a pet as a service animal. See CALIFORNIA PENAL CODE SECTION 365.7

SMOKING POLICY 

Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the buildings of the Inn. You may smoke outside on the upstairs deck of the Casa Blanca or the upstairs deck of the Casa Rosa, where we provide ash trays. You must be considerate when other non smoking guests are present. You must insure that your smoking device is well out before leaving the area due to brush fire danger. We are surrounded by highly flammable native chaparral and grass.

ZERO DRUG POLICY

No use of controlled substances, including marijuana, medical or otherwise as designated by Federal Law is allowed on our premises. You will be subject to immediate eviction by an officer of the law.


It is against the law to smoke in the outdoor public parks in Los Angeles.

No smoking is allowed in Topanga State Park.

Cancel a Reservation

DIRECT RESERVATIONS – please call us at (310) 600-1325 between 8 am and 8 pm Pacific Time or email Bed@TopangaCanyonInn.com.

ALL OTHER RESERVATIONS – contact customer service of the Online Travel Websites (OTA) where you booked. We are not able to alter reservations made through OTA.
